Can we travel here ethically?
Ethics pass, with care
Good with the right operator. Here is how we choose.
Dominica made the first sperm whale reserve in the world, approved by parliament in October 2025, with rangers and a ship corridor to keep boats away from the whales. How swimming will be managed under the new law is still unclear, and our rule for whales is to watch only. So we watch the resident families from a calm boat, at a respectful distance.
