Why Grenada

Grenada is known for spice, beaches, wrecks and the Molinière Underwater Sculpture Park, which is art and not wildlife. Leatherback turtles nest at Levera, mostly around March to July, and hawksbill and green turtles live on the reefs. We found no licensed swim with whales or dolphins, so this is a watch only place for now. We are still researching it.

Conservation-led. Ocean Calling guests never chase, touch or bait animals.

Our ethics check

Can we travel here ethically?

Ethics pass, with care

Good with the right operator. Here is how we choose.

Grenada has protected marine areas and a 2025 law that bans harassing marine mammals. We would choose a guided Levera turtle watch and avoid unguided nights on nesting beaches. We do not swim with whales or dolphins here. Nothing is on sale and we are still learning.

Evidence is still thin here. We are checking again with official sources.

Checked 30 Sep 2026. Places change, so we look again every year.
